DESCRIPTION
Sunset Lodge is a charming cottage located 2 miles west of the Mackinac Bridge and St. Ignace, Michigan. Lake Michigan laps at your private beach only 50 feet from the cottage. Enjoy the beach and watch the freighters move past through the Straights of Mackinac under the Mackinac Bridge. St. Helen island is off to the west with its lighthouse.
Sunset Lodge has been completely renovated in 1999. The cottage features a spacious living room with hardwood floors and cathedral ceiling and lots of windows overlooking the lake. There is an easy to use gas stove on a granite hearth, a dining space with bay window and new kitchen and bath with granite counters and cherry cabinets. The cottage has two bedrooms on the upper level. In addition, the master bedroom is located in a separate cabin, "Moonlight", even closer to the water and has its own half bath. You'll be lulled to sleep with the sound of the waves in this master suite. There is a large, sunny deck off the living room, a covered porch off the kitchen and a covered porch entry.
